A SHOCKING video captures the moment a two-year-old boy was mauled by a ferocious pet Rottweiler, leaving him with a broken jaw and needing 200 stitches.
The toddler was rushed to hospital after the horrific attack in Pattaya, Thailand, last week, when the loose 11 stone dog viciously attacked him.
The beast bounded out of a house with open gates, where he’d been barking at the tot and his four-year-old brother as they strolled past with their nanny.
The little boys, from France, jumped in fear when the “devil dog” made its first lunge towards their nanny, but the brute soon turned towards the youngest.
It proceeded to grip the two-year-old in his jaws for a whole minute, as strangers desparately tried to beat it away from the terrified child.
The toddler appears to hold tight onto what could be a teddy bear as the Rottweiler mauls him.
At the end of the video clip, a man appears with a piece of metal to beat the dog off the boy.
When three adults finally managed to rip the beast from the young lad, he already had wounds all across his face and a broken jaw.
The child had to be transferred to Bangkok because of the severity of his injuries and there he was given 200 stitches.
The Rottweiler’s owner Somkiat, 67, said he heard someone scream and rushed over to help.
He told the Mirror: “I rushed out of the house to see what was happening and saw the dog attacking the boy.
“I grabbed a metal stick to scare away the dog.”
Another neighbour Jet, 39, added: “The owner of this dog has to be very careful and make sure that it is on leash. It is such a violent dog.”
Police are now investigating the incident.
When questioned, the house owner reportedly claimed that they left the gate open to take out the trash but it ran outside when the boys and their nanny passed by.
Pattaya Police Station Police Colonel Kullachat Kullchai said: “We are still investigating the case and accusations against the owner.
“We have to wait for the boy’s medical results yet before we can finalise the charges.”
