PRINCE Andrew has been dragged back into the Ghislaine Maxwell case — as another victim told of her trauma at seeing his photo with Virginia Giuffre.
Maxwell, 60, is likely to die in jail if a judge agrees on Tuesday that she should serve the 30 years demanded by prosecutors.
And yesterday victim Annie Farmer told how the infamous photo of Andrew with his arm around a then teenage Virginia left her in shock.
In an impact statement ahead of the New York court hearing, Ms Farmer said: “I remember sitting at my desk in a Houston hospital physically shaking after seeing the photo of Maxwell with Virginia Giuffre and Prince Andrew because it became clear to me how their scheme had continued.”
The snap shows Andrew at Maxwell’s London townhouse in 2001 as Maxwell grins behind them.
Ms Farmer, now 42, claims she was 16 when she was lured to sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, where Maxwell groped her breasts.
Her testimony piles new humiliation on Andrew as he tries to leave the scandal behind and craves a return to public life.
Maxwell was convicted in December of recruiting and trafficking under-age girls to Epstein.
Prosecutors want her to serve at least 30 years in jail with a potential maximum of 55 years.
Virginia, 38, settled a US lawsuit earlier this year with Andrew for a reported £10million over claims she was forced to have sex with him three times when she was aged 17.
The Duke has always denied the allegations.
In Virginia’s victim impact statement she accuses Maxwell and Epstein of doing “unthinkable things” to her.
She adds: “I never would have met Epstein if not for you. You opened the door to hell. And then, Ghislaine, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, you used your femininity to betray us, and you led us all through it.”
Epstein hanged himself while awaiting trial in 2019.
