THIS is the bizarre moment a drunk man was almost dragged into a lagoon by a hungry crocodile after hurling rocks at her.
The boozed-up bloke had been throwing stones at the female beast as she lay close to her egg nest before she launched her attack at the La Encantada lagoon in the city of Villahermosa, Mexico.
Footage shows the riled croc lunge at the intoxicated man as he falls back onto the grassy bank just feet away from the water.
The reptile then locks her jaws around the man’s trousers before pulling him towards the lagoon.
He then kicks his legs in a bid to free himself.
According to witnesses, the man was able to walk away but it’s unclear how badly he was injured from the incident last Thursday, reports Mexican newspaper La Razón.
Villahermosa Civil Defense director José Gómez said: “The person who was apparently attacked was throwing stones at (the crocodile) and was intoxicated.
“These animals are in the reproductive stage. She had some eggs and the animal felt attacked and reacted.”
It comes after a teenage boy miraculously escaped the jaws of a crocodile by battering its head.
Om Prakash Sahoo, 14, was with his friends in the Kani river in India when the beast snatched him beneath the water and drag him to his death.
The terrified teen frantically whacked the 7ft croc on the head – battling for more than 10 minutes to free himself.
After repeatedly punching the predator, he managed to get away from the ferocious creature.
He was then rushed to hospital before being transferred toOdisha’s Kendrapara district, where he remains in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a fisherman narrowly escaped with his life when he was mauled by four crocodiles and dragged underwater in a “death roll”.
Alexander Chimedza had one beast’s jaws clamped on each limb but was saved after a 40-minute struggle as his pals rained down stones from the bank.
He was set upon in January while looking for worms to use as bait to catch a fish dinner for his family in Kariba, Zimbabwe.
