THIS is the shocking moment a man confronted by two robbers abandons his girlfriend and flees for his life as she’s mugged on the street.
The terrifying incident was caught on camera in Ecatepec de Morelos, Mexico.

The footage shows the couple walking along the street holding hands as two men on a motorbike approach the pair.
One of the men then jumps off the back of the bike to confront the couple.
But as soon as he spots the two thugs, the boyfriend suddenly takes off and flees down the street – leaving his girlfriend on her own.
The suspect tries to trip up the fleeing lad, but he manages to get away.
The man then turns his attention to the lone woman and snatches her mobile phone from her pocket before jumping back on the motorbike and driving away from the scene.
The shocking footage soon went viral on social media – with many slamming the coward boyfriend for abandoning his girlfriend.
But, due to the soaring crime rate in the area, others said he did the right thing by running away from the dangerous thugs.
Ecatepec is known for the “Monsters of Ecatepec” – the name given to a serial killer couple, Juan Carlos Hernández and Patricia Martínez.
Active in the area from 2012 to 2018, the pair are suspected to have committed between 10 and 20 murders – and also confessed to cannibalizing the bodies of their victim.
The pair were finally apprehended on October 4, 2018 when transporting human remains in a baby stroller.
And it comes after a British man was shot dead at a supermarket on the other side of Mexico alongside his two friends.
Software engineer Ben Corser, 37, from Cornwall, was gunned down while picking up shopping in Colima last Tuesday.
Ben, who had been in the country since January, was sitting in a car when he and two pals, Claudio and Alfredo, were shot and killed.
His parents, former headteacher Andrew Corser and Lorraine Downes, and his brother Tom Corser, said he was in “the wrong place at the wrong time”.
Ben’s death is the latest in a spate of violence in Colima – but he is the first foreign national to be killed.
Local reporter Bertha Reynoso said: “Engineer Ben Marshall Corser is the first foreigner victim of this wave of violence that has been experienced in Colima since January 25.”
According to reports, nearly 400 people have been killed in the crime wave.
