A TEENAGE boy miraculously escaped the jaws of a crocodile by battering its head.
Om Prakash Sahoo, 14, was with his friends in the Kani river in India when the beast snatched him beneath the water and drag him to his death.
The terrified teen frantically whacked the 7ft croc on the head – battling for more than 10 minutes to free himself.
After repeatedly punching the predator, he managed to get away from the ferocious creature.
He was then rushed to hospital before being transferred toOdisha’s Kendrapara district, where he remains in a stable condition.
It is the third time within just a month a croc has attacked someone in and aroundBhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara district, reports NDTV.
On May 26, a 54-year-old woman was killed by a beast while washing utensils in the river.
Just weeks before on May 4, 40-year-old Shiv Prasad Behera was savaged while he was taking a bath in the Brahmani river.
It comes after shocking footage showed the moment a group of teenagers encountered a crocodile while swimming at a tourist hotspot.
Osmar Ochoa was swimming with a group of friends in Tulum, Mexico, when he came across the deadly beast.
Meanwhile, another clip showed the heartstopping moment a huge croc jumped into a couple’s boat after chasing a fishing line.
And this video shows the wild moment a crocodile escaped from a van and ran down a street before zookeepers captured the runaway beast.
The crocodile can be seen being wrangled on a street divider in Florida after the animal broke out of the vehicle.
The escape took place as the beast, along with other crocodiles, were being transported to another area of St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, in St. Augustine, Florida.
