Police were out in full force in Ottawa on Saturday as they kept a watchful eye on people taking part in the “Rolling Thunder” motorcycle convoy.
Canadian flags and chants of “freedom” were heard once again in the city after the trucker’s protest of COVID-19 mandates in January and February.
The rally was initially unclear about its purpose in Ottawa, except to say it was organized to “peacefully celebrate our freedom.”
“So far, so good,” said Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, who had hecklers around him objecting to what he was saying.
