ACT Occupations List 2012 – 2013 is an updated required trade tabulation designed to make SkillSelect platform more effective. This tabulation is instrumental in effective and efficient functioning of the Australian Capital Territory nomination scheme.
Over the years Australia has progressed rapidly and has established itself as one of the most stable economies in the world. The validity of statement can be cited from the fact that post 2008 crisis, when other giant economies are reeling under pressure of debt and chronic slowdown, Aussie economy has expanded rapidly. This one reason is enough for aspiring migrants to make a beeline to seek entry down under.
This rush naturally led to long queues, which in turn resulted in longer processing times and an overburdened immigration process. As a result SkillSelect was commissioned in July 2012 to streamline whole process and subsequently reduce
- processing times
- waiting queues
This platform completely relies on Required Occupations List and tends to weed out inappropriate aspirants from probable list at the first step itself. New initiative and reforms in immigration regime have helped authorities to make trade tabulations more effective.
Lists are being maintained at 2 levels
- Federal list addresses broader national labor deficit issues
- Provincial list like ACT Trade Tabulation strives to focus only on labor deficiencies in provincial perspective (assists state sponsorship program).
Every province is faced with unique labor deficiency issues and key to success of its sponsorship program lies in skillfully highlighting these areas. Effectively identifying occupational premise where migrants are actually needed can make a program effective and fruitful
ACT is the smallest territory of Aussie mainland, primarily housing national capital Canberra and surrounding localities. Its industry is primarily characterized by service sector along with a little bit of agriculture.
