American fintech firm Humbl Inc has acquired its smaller Mexican rival Ixaya Business SA de CV, gaining access to several deep-pocketed clients in Latin America.
With around 35 software professionals, Ixaya serves wide-ranging sectors including automotive, financial services, oil and gas, real estate, and cybersecurity.
Its clients include Hitachi, Mazda, Grupo Innova, PyLC, Point Capital, US México Chamber of Commerce, El Corte Ingles, H Ayuntamiento Guanajuato, Pago Gas, and Botas Caborca.
Ixaya will continue to operate independently even after the closing of the transaction, but San Diego, California-based Humbl will add Ixaya’s software offerings to its portfolio.
Ixaya’s IT solutions include mobile apps, including YoPago, Cook+Serve, and Atenda.
“Latin America is our key regional focus outside of the United States coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Brian Foote, CEO of HUMBL.
“We are finding that there is not only strong interest in Web 3 and blockchain throughout Latin America, but that there is also high quality, low cost, and fast-paced engineering talent as well.”
