There are growing fears about a health crisis in Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian invasion, with medical services being interrupted by the conflict and critical supplies unable to reach those who need them most.
Patients have already been displaced and makeshift maternity wards have been set up in bomb shelters in basements. At least one Ukrainian physician said he’s worried if medical supplies that international allies are expected to deliver don’t reach them soon, supplies will be drained in weeks.
