After days of protesters jamming a key route to the U.S. border, there are signs the blockade in Coutts, Alta. is easing as traffic is now being allowed to pass through.
On Tuesday, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney urged protestors to end the blockade while calling for calm.
“Anybody who feels sympathetic to those engaged in the blockade please stay away from the area,” said Kenney. “Please do not further intensify an already difficult situation. The police have a job to do.”
But as Heather Yourex-West reports, an incident near the blockade resulted in a car crash and an assault on a couple driving nearby.
