Global agri-technology company Devenish has unveiled the next step in their strategic growth plans and commitment to staff and customers in Mexico, with the addition of a manufacturing facility in Hermosillo, Mexico. The facility includes the firm’s Mexico corporate headquarters and a two‐line premix production system.
Fully operational, the facility gives Devenish a permanent headquarters for their growing administrative and operations teams. It also gives the company local production capabilities that will assist in increasing their service and product offerings to current and future customers.
Devenish is committed to the animal nutrition industry across the globe by providing customers with valuable nutritional solutions based on research and innovation.
“Our new facility reinforces once again, Devenish’s commitment to establish a local presence in Mexico that gives our people the confidence and support to sustain our growth within the country,” says Manuel De La Llata, director of Devenish Mexico.
Devenish first entered into the Mexico market in 2014 with sales being supported by their U.S. operations. Since then, the company has increased its presence in Mexico by investing in people and facilities that can
support their Mexico customers’ needs directly.
In 2016, Devenish opened an office and distribution center in Queretaro, Mexico to streamline the supply of goods to clients and in 2019, they commissioned a swine research facility in Cuernavaca, Mexico in cooperation with one of their customers. This research location has hosted trials for multiple technologies at a commercial scale, with the same conditions of the Mexico swine market, to create solutions that are tailored to the local customer base.
“Mexico is a key strategic area of focus for our North American business unit,” says Cory Penn, president of Devenish North America. “Devenish looks forward to many future investments to support our commitment in Mexico.”
